The thing about the Gekkostate still definitely rubs me the wrong way, the characters being so different from how they'd been established in the show, but Renton and Eureka growing up together is actually kind of interesting I guess. I remember that the Gekkostate were all children who'd been rapidly aged (I guess the rapid aging affected them to vastly different degrees, because aren't their ages all over the place?), and that they'd adopted the story of Peter Pan as a sort of cultish ideology or something because of how it represents the fight against growing up. I don't remember too much about it I saw it once in a limited theater release when I was in high school (Jesus Christ I've been out of high school for 10 years, what the fuck happened to the time.?) and I think once more since then, maybe a year or two later.Ĭertain bits were memorable, including Nirvash vs Devilfish, which was dope, but most of the things I remember were, how should I put this, questionable decisions?
